Fitness4 Mental Health is dedicated to providing youth (ages 10-24) and adults (ages 25+) with group and individual sessions that explore substance abuse prevention, relapse prevention, healthy goal setting, and other mental health topics.

By providing group fitness along with the therapeutic group/individual sessions, Fitness4 Mental Health seeks to focus on the whole self (spiritual, mental, and physical).

 

 

Rashida Sykes, MSW

 

Rashida Sykes, MSW, is a Brooklyn mother of three boys and a graduate from Silberman School of Social Work. She has over 10 years of experience working with non-profits and communities, including East New York, Brownsville, Crown Heights, and Flatbush.

Rashida has worked in various modalities of social work including substance abuse treatment, program development and grass roots organizing. She is driven to empower and assist those overcoming trauma, addiction, poverty, and lack of access to resources.

Rashida started her company Fitness4 Mental Health to provide new approaches for managing mental health conditions. Fitness4 Mental Health provides coping tools such as group/individual fitness and therapeutic sessions that incorporate art and music to assist those on the road to recovering from trauma, mental health conditions and substance abuse.
